Every CMA client benefits from Charlie's lifelong
aversion to jargon or cliche, to the predictable or the pedestrian,
to cookie-cutter sound or one size fits all design. Working with a
broad range of musical styles our creative teams achieve the illuminating
insight -- fresh, often unexpected, and frequently enlivened by a
knowing wink. CMA positions sound where it should be -- on the cutting
edge.
Charles Morrow Associates has produced award-winning jingles and commercial
soundtracks, including the new Hornsby's Pubdraft Cider campaign featuring
performances by The Porter Family, a traditional Northeast Kingdom
string band. CMA is also responsible for many golden oldies like "Hefty,
Hefty, Hefty; Wimpy, Wimpy, Wimpy," "Take the Train to the Plane,"
and "Windsong Stays on My Mind." Our clients have included Diet Coke,
AT&T, and Mercedes Benz.
CMA's on air promotional/ID music can be heard on MTV, The Cartoon
Network, Court TV, and Turner Broadcasting.
CMA film soundtracks range from documentaries (George Bush - The
Making of a Leader) to industrials (tradtional soundtracks for
clients including Viacom and Duracell, and other projects including
a live sound/video wall with Mummenschantz for AT&T) to features
(Altered States with John Corigliano).
Charles Morrow Associates has a special interest in collaborations
with indiginous filmmakers. Major projects have included Beyond
Night and Day by Sami filmmaker Paul-Anders Simma, and the current
production by Yukon filmmaker Carol Geddes, George Johnson, Tlingit
Photographer.
